Chelsea Women will embark on a historic pre-season tour to New Zealand this summer, with Constant Contact confirmed as the presenting partner for their 2026 preparations. The squad will make club history by playing their first-ever match in New Zealand, facing Auckland FC Women at Eden Park on August 8, before traveling to Sydney for a second friendly against the A-League Women All-Stars.
What’s new in this tour?
This marks the first time a Women’s Super League club will compete in New Zealand, and it’s also Chelsea’s maiden visit to the country. The tour follows a strong 2025 campaign where Chelsea Women finished third in the FA WSL with 49 points (15W-4D-3L), just six points behind leaders Manchester City W. The team scored 44 goals while conceding 20, maintaining a +24 goal difference.
Why is this significant?
The tour underscores Chelsea Women’s growing global presence, with Eden Park-a 50,000-capacity stadium that hosted matches during the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup-set to welcome the Blues. Constant Contact, already the club’s Official Small Business Marketing Partner, will support the team through training sessions, player appearances, and matchday activations.
What’s next for Chelsea Women?
After the New Zealand and Sydney friendlies, Chelsea Women will return to England to prepare for the 2026/27 Barclays Women’s Super League, which kicks off on September 4. Fans can already purchase tickets for the Sydney match at Allianz Stadium on August 12, with details available on the club’s official website.
