Chelsea Women have won the League Cup for the third consecutive year, defeating Manchester United 2-0 in the final. The Blues also secured a third-place finish in the Women's Super League, qualifying for the UEFA Women's Champions League. The season-ending triumph at the World Sevens tournament saw Chelsea win the title with a 6-5 victory over Manchester United in the final, after coming back from 4-1 down. This achievement adds to the team's impressive record, with 34 matches without tasting defeat in the league, surpassing their and the competition's previous best unbeaten streak of 33. The team said goodbye to club legend Sam Kerr at the end of the season, but she left on a high note, becoming the second person to reach a century of goals for Chelsea Women. Kerr also surpassed Fran Kirby's record and became Chelsea's all-time highest scorer in the WSL, with 64 goals to her name. On her final appearance for the Blues, Kerr made that 65 WSL goals and equalled Kirby's record 115 goals for Chelsea Women across all competitions. Other players also hit significant appearance milestones for Chelsea Women during the 2025/26 campaign, including Erin Cuthbert, who reached 300th appearances for the club in the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge. Guro Reiten played her 200th game for the club against Liverpool.
