Chelsea Women goalkeeper Hannah Hampton is set to be sidelined for a number of weeks with a muscular injury. Chelsea head coach Sonia Bompastor said she was unsure if Hampton, 24, would be available to return before the end of 2025.

What happened?

Hampton picked up a quad injury and will miss Sunday's visit to Liverpool. Her injury comes ahead of Chelsea facing three-time European champions Barcelona in the Champions League on Thursday.

Hampton has started all eight of Chelsea's Women's Super League fixtures this season. She played an important role in England's 2025 European Championship triumph this summer.

Bompastor confirmed Chelsea otherwise had full availability for the weekend's fixture against Liverpool, with Aggie Beever-Jones back in the squad after missing her side's last two matches.
